NEW
COURSES
Advanced
Course
We are finding many children are ready to move to bigger pools at a younger
than average age. In preparation for the transition, namely the distance,
we are trialling a new course.
The course runs in blocks of six or eight weeks and is aimed at children
holding stage six. It aims to encourage correct breathing, improve technique
and stamina. They will also receive their bronze certificate and hopefully
fully complete their progress cards.
If your child is approaching the time to leave and you’re not sure
about ‘the big pool’ please contact us for details.
Rookie Lifeguard
This was a successful course that was run in the last holidays. We hope
to run more in the future.
If your child can swim 25m competently and is age seven or above then
they should be suitable for the course. Please contact Seafield
Swimmers for more details.

AQUA
BLAST
Exercise
Low impact, high intensity aqua aerobic classes. Great for toning and
getting fitter. Get Into Aqua Aerobics. Aqua Aerobics classes offer you
something different to a traditional gym workout and you’ll really
see a difference in your overall health and fitness.
Typical Aqua Aerobics classes will involve all the exercises you would
expect in a ‘dry’ class but with added bonuses you can only
get from exercising in water. Benefits of aerobics in water include;
•Water supports the body, putting less stress on your joints
and muscles
•This support is great if you’re older, have suffered an
injury or are recovering from illness
•Water pressure helps the heart move blood around the body, putting
less strain on it
•The impact of gravity is less in the water allowing a greater
range of motion
•Working out in water can also prevent overheating, helping you
exercise for longer.
